Language Program (PI)
This program was created in 1996 and offers students the opportunity to study English, French, Italian or German, for academic or work purposes, at leading universities and institutes in eleven countries. These institutions have entered into agreements with COLFUTURO, whereby tuition discounts are granted to those applying through the Foundation.
Thus, we support the growing need to learn a second language, a skill that is becoming more and more pressing to take advantage of job and academic opportunities available to those who are fluent in another language.
To date, more than 3.000 Colombians have enjoyed these benefits, including the following:
- Accompaniment. Experts from the Foundation support interested candidates throughout the admission process, without charging any commission. Two informative talks are offered every month: the second Saturday of the month, at 11:00 a.m., via Zoom (at www.colfuturo.org), and the last Thursday of the month, at 5:00 p.m., an Instagram Live from @colfuturo.
- Coverage. The Foundation has entered into more than 40 agreements offering its benefits in 11 countries: United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Malta, Ireland, Italy, France, Switzerland and Germany. These are high quality institutions offering intensive programs and ensuring effective learning.
- Quality of institutions. Universities and academic institutions with which COLFUTURO has agreements have teachers with master’s degrees in language teaching. In addition, most of them are in small cities, which enables practicing the language constantly.
- Cost of programs. The cost varies according to the destination and duration of the program. This information can be consulted in the cost simulator available on our website section "Language Program".
It is important to note that COLFUTURO does not offer financing through this program but rather offers a discount, ranging from 8 % to 50 %, granted directly by the institution to the student, after having been selected in one of the calls for applications during the year.
- Call for applications. There are four calls for applications per year (in January, April, June and September). The only requirement to apply for the Language Program is to be over 18.
