About the university
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is the world's leading university for the social sciences. Based in the heart of London, we are a global community of people and ideas that transform the world. The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide has ranked LSE as the top university in the UK and named the School as its ‘University of the Year 2025’.
Each year we welcome more than 70 new Colombians to LSE and, in addition to contributing to the academic life of the School, these students organize the Students’ Union Colombian Society, which acts as a “home away from home” and promotes Colombian culture to a global audience.
Our graduates go on to shape with the world and are highly sought after by employers, with LSE being ranked eighth globally for employer reputation in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings and enjoying some of the highest starting salaries of any UK university.
