Students who are academically admissible to graduate programs (Master’s or PhD) at the University of Waterloo, but do not meet the English language requirement, may be presented with a conditional offer of admission to a future term based on successful completion of the English for Academic Success (EFAS) program. McMaster University
Master’s programs
- Open number of CAD$5000 entrance awards for Masters in Engineering in the W Booth School of Engineering Practice, including: MEPP, M.Eng Design, MEEI, MEME, M&ST programs (equivalent to 10% of tuition fee).
- Open number of entrance awards for 10-25% of tuition fee for MBA, including specializations in Business Analytics, Finance, Health Services Management, Strategic Marketing, Strategic Business Valuation, with Co-op option, and MMAIA Program.
- 1 entrance award for 10% of tuition fee for Masters in Finance (MFIN).
- For all research-based Masters programs, up to two (2) years of full-time study in a Research Master’s may be eligible to secure additional funding from the faculty or research supervisor to offset the balance of international tuition fees not covered by COLFUTURO.
PhD programs
- Domestic tuition rate for all Ph.D. candidates in any program.
- Supplemental scholarships or funding may be available for costs beyond those covered by COLFUTURO.

PhD programs
- International Doctoral Scholarship – A value of $45,000 over five (5) years, the International Doctoral Scholarship supports full-time international students, during their doctoral studies. A maximum value of $3,000 per term, for 15 consecutive terms, will be credited to the student account. The scholarship will only be paid if international tuition fees are charged.
